Haakon Larsen, Delta-p and Shift partners to form industrial group
Effective on 23rd of December 2024, Haakon Larsen AS and Delta-p Pumpe- og Kompressor Systemer AS concluded a partnership and became part of Shift Energy Holding AS (Shift Energy). The group was established by the investment company Shift as a platform for active and long-term ownership of businesses delivering products, services, and technology to the energy sector.
Delta-p is a market leading turnkey specialist to the global energy market, providing fully engineered pump systems and rotating equipment packages with a ca. 20-year successful track record. Its core offerings include MEG injection-, cooling medium-, and chemical injection packages, as well as process and utility pumps. Delta-p is based in Asker with 40 employees, primarily engineers, and brings extensive engineering and project execution capabilities to the group.
Haakon Larsen has specialized in solid/liquid separation since 1927 and delivered and serviced centrifuges for MEG regeneration systems worldwide for more than 25 years. The company experience continued growth and high demand for its services within both the oil and gas and industrial segment. Becoming part of Shift Energy and partnering with Delta-p positions Haakon Larsen for the future, adding significant resources and growth opportunities. Haakon Larsen brings decades of global offshore aftermarket experience and a modern workshop for service, overhaul, and testing of rotating equipment to the partnership.
Going forward both companies will continue to operate independently, however seek collaboration opportunities which strengthens the offering to both companies’ customers.
The owners of both Haakon Larsen and Delta-p, all of which are active in the companies today, has reinvested all their holdings into Shift Energy to form a 50/50 partnership. Shift Energy is established as an industrial platform for further growth, both organically and inorganically, continuously developing businesses through active, permanent ownership. The strategy is centred around businesses with heritage from the Norwegian energy sector, where each company will continue its current operation with independent organization and brand. The Group’s pro-forma turnover in 2024 is ca. NOK 500 million.
Shift Energy also includes a majority ownership in Greenerway AS which was established by Haakon Larsen and has developed to become a leading supplier of battery system installations, fast charging infrastructure, and related energy management software to the growing market for electrification of heavy trucks in Norway.
